Celine Dion has suffered another family tragedy: Her brother Daniel Dion has died of cancer, days after her husband René Angélil succumbed to the same ailment. The Canadian pop singer's rep confirmed the news to E! News on Saturday, hours after it was revealed Daniel suffered from cancer of the throat, tongue and brain and did not have long to live. He was one of Celine's 13 siblings. Their sister Claudette had recently told Le Journal de Montréal that family members, including their mother, had flocked to his bedside. The newspaper quoted the family as saying that Daniel passed away at 5 a.m. on Saturday. "He was ready and he no longer suffers," Claudette told Le Journal de Montréal. "It was serene."

Husband to International songstress, Celine Dion, Rene Angelil has died at the age of 73. Rene died in the early hours of today January 14th. He was diagnosed with throat cancer in 1998. His health got so bad last year that Celine took a leave of absence from her Las Vegas show at Caesars Palace. Sources close to Celine say Rene's death was completely unexpected because recently he'd felt much better. He and Celine have children together...a 14-year-old and 5-year-old twins. He also has 3 other children from a previous marriage.

Kemi Omololu-Olunloyo, a Canada returnee and the daughter of the former governor of Oyo state, Victor Omololu Olunloyo has reacted to Olamide's fracas with Don Jazzy at the Headies Award night with diverse accusations levelled on the YBNL boss. Dwayne' The Rock' Johnson is known for his love of animals and he demonstrated it once again as he stepped in to help a stricken dog. According to a gofundme site set up for the dog which is incidentally named Dwayne after the famous actor/wrestler, 'He was dumped at North Central Shelter with a large metal wire wrapped around the bottom portion of his mouth. It took bolt cutters for the shelter to remove it. Dwayne also has a grade 5 heart murmur. Grade 6 is considered the most severe.' The site revealed the heart murmur would require surgery totaling almost $5000. The Rock got to know about the pup and has donated $1500 towards  its surgery, the funding target has been reached and the lucky pup will get treatment.
