500 Nigerians have been deported from the United Kingdom and arrived the Murtala Mohammed International Airport Lagos this morning. Many of them were deported for illegal stay permits. The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced that it will conduct a fresh primary election in Kogi state to pick a replacement for Abubakar Audu. Audu, who passed away on Sunday, was the party’s candidate in the November 21 governorship election. Speaking with journalists at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja, John Oyegun, chairman of APC, said the decision to hold a fresh primary was taken after the party received a letter from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) asking it to replace Audu.

A judge in Osun State, Justice A. O. Oguntade, at the state High Court, on Thursday granted her order barring the media from the divorce proceedings involving Deji Adeleke, and his estranged wife, Teju. The millionaire businessman, who is the Chancellor of the Adeleke University, is the father of popular music act, Davido. Adeleke was present in court on Thursday but the estranged wife was not in court when journalists was asked to leave the court room.
